Not a lot is learnt about Nissan’s next Z-car. Early in December of 2014, Nissan’s vice president and global head of marketing, Roel de Vries, hinted that the 370 Z’s follower could have a variety of engines, depending upon an offered market. Then, a week later, word spread that the next Z-Car would be released as a convertible (they were calling it “The Z”) and would probably have a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, hybrid engine. We’re intending to see the main launching of the next Z by 2018, however till then let’s have a look at our making and exactly what we wish to see when it makes an official launching in the coming years.
As you can see, we think the 2018 Nissan Z will be low slung, and just like the 370Z, just smaller. Up front, you’ll recognize a grille similar to exactly what we see on the 2016 Nissan Sentra, but for the Z, we’ve broadened on it a bit. Rather of a thin, flat-V-shaped divider, the grille embraces a larger divider with are vents on the sides and a huge Nissan symbol right in the middle. The headlights are also of a comparable style, but the external points– the ones that point towards the side mirrors– those are longer and more noticable, providing the car a sportier set of eyes compared to the Sentra.
I think Nissan is expecting a lot out of its next Z-car, so I believe the interior will be reminiscent of the 2014 to 2015 370z Nismo, however a little better. The infotainment screen display will be of the touchscreen type, with the majority of infotainment operates done on screen– leaving no requirement for the control board below the screen on the 370Z. I presume we’ll see the same Z-branded wheel, however it will be enhanced by a sleeker design and, by the time it is released, it may even include some touchscreen manages itself. I believe the seats will likewise be a mix of leather and Alcantara, but keep in mind that is only early-on speculation. As far as we understand, the next Z-car is said to slot prior to the 370 and 350zs, so it will probably come at a lower cost– ultimately causing a less luxurious cabin.
It must be kept in mind, the 2018 Nissan Z will be smaller and lighter, that V-6 might be softened even more and still offer 0-to-60 mph times in the five- to six-second variety. Naturally, Nissan could develop an entire brand-new V-6 for the next Z-car and if that is the case, who understands exactly what we’ll see under the hood. Either way, I don’t believe the brand name will let us down with the choice they make. We simply need to wait until the time comes to see what they develop.
The brand-new Z is expected to land in showrooms by 2018, with the base model priced in the low-$30,000 variety and the twin-turbo nearing $50K.
